Creating the High Performance Work Place: It’s Not Complicated to Develop a Culture of Commitment. Most of us want to make a lasting and meaningful difference at work and in our personal lives. But we’re daunted by the size of the challenges, afraid of the cost or commitment and, quite frankly, unsure of where to start. This book uncovers eight steps to unlocking high performance and the life you want to lead.
Immediately after reading this book, you will be compelled to abandon the baggage of traditional hierarchy and adopt a new approach that creates freedom, results and satisfaction. It requires little financial investment on your part, but it will mean you have to give-up customary leadership practices
Sue Bingham, founder of HPWP Group, has been at the forefront of the positive business movement for 35 years. She’s driven to create high-performing workplaces by partnering with courageous leaders who value the contributions of team members. She has personally conducted hundreds of leadership workshops transforming the lives of over 3,000 leaders. Achieving high performance in any team or organization is a win for everyone. Sue is self-actualized in this pursuit because she believes that every person who works and lives by trusting and respecting others makes the world a better place.

- Although Nicholas Theodoulos is considered a heroic figure by any standard—having saved countless children from bad situations over the last 16 centuries—he’s also a deeply flawed alcoholic who pushes those who love him away: “Time had slowly entombed his heart, layer after layer, century after century, until a sepulcher stood […]
- What became of Sacagawea after the expedition that made her famous? A scholarly consensus long held that that she died young, of “putrid fever,” in 1812—“a short life with a sad ending,” as Thomas Powers puts it in the Review’s June 8, 2023 issue. In contrast, Powers writes, “a new […]
- Nearly two years after the Taliban’s return to power in Kabul, the UN refers to the regime only as “the de facto authorities,” to avoid any hint of formal recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as the Taliban call their government. By any name, the Taliban today control Afghanistan’s […]
- Although enrollments in college history courses have plunged in recent years, interest in the subject remains high, to judge from both the best-seller lists and history’s place in the gladiatorial combat known as American politics. We are, in many ways, saturated in history. But what purpose does it serve? Academic […]
- “Ich werde es zerreissen”—“I’m going to slash it.” So asserted the five- or six-year-old future novelist Nathalie Sarraute to her Swiss governess as she held a pair of scissors above a stuffed armchair. The governess protested. The future novelist held firm: “Yes, I’m going to do it”…There now, I’m freeing […]
- In 1941 an ambitious Philadelphia pediatrician, the wonderfully named Waldo Emerson Nelson, became the editor of America’s leading textbook of pediatrics. For the next half-century the compilation of successive editions of this large volume advanced his career, consumed his weekends, and encroached heavily on his domestic life. Every few years, […]
